Functional Features

Four functions to explore

Opening parts and linked movement make the vehicle’s layout easier to demonstrate during a presentation or hands-on display.

Four DAYUN model functions: opening doors, forward cab tilt, rotating rear axle and steering wheel linked to front wheels
01 / OPENING DOORS

Cab, side & rear doors

OEM Development

From vehicle reference to production model

For a new custom truck model, the scale, appearance and functions are agreed before tooling begins.

01 / DEFINE

Confirm the brief

Agree vehicle dimensions, scale, quantity, functions, branding and packaging.

02 / DEVELOP

Review 3D & prototype

Adapt vehicle data into model parts and review the assembled prototype before tooling.

03 / APPROVE

Check the sample

Review the finish, printed artwork, fit and movement on the pre-production sample.

04 / PRODUCE

Assemble & inspect

Carry out assembly, appearance and function checks before final packing.

Production & Quality Control

Check appearance, fit and movement

Inspection priorities for this type of model include painted surfaces, printed markings, component fit, door operation, cab tilt and steering movement.

Project FAQ

Planning a custom truck model?

What information is needed for an initial quotation?

Please share the real vehicle’s overall dimensions, preferred model scale or size, order quantity, required functions and packaging. Photos from several angles help us assess the body details and project scope.

Is editable 3D data required at the quotation stage?

It is not required for an initial quotation. Editable vehicle 3D/CAD data is needed when development starts. Please let us know whether it is available so we can assess the preparation work.

Can the model have different functions or branding?

Yes. Opening parts, steering, body decoration and packaging can be specified for a new project, subject to the model size and engineering assessment.

What is the usual minimum order quantity?

Our standard minimum is 1,000 pieces per model. Smaller batches can be assessed, with a higher unit cost and additional development charges where applicable.

Who owns the tooling for a custom project?

Customer-funded tooling belongs to the customer. It is stored and maintained for their project and is not used for other clients without permission. An NDA can be arranged.

Is the DAYUN model available for another customer to order?

This page presents a project example. Availability and reproduction rights must be checked separately; displaying the model does not mean its tooling or branded design is available for third-party production.
