From Equipment Data to Finished Model
A custom truck-mounted crane model can be developed through three approval and production stages.
Prototype Approval
Adapt editable equipment data for model production and make a prototype. Review the scale, appearance, structure and functions; complete structural changes before prototype approval and tooling.
Approve the Sample
Develop tooling for the agreed materials and production route. Review the sample’s fit, appearance, graphics and functions to establish a reference for production.
Control the Finished Result
Produce and assemble the models using the agreed processes and finishes. Check appearance and functions before protecting, packing and shipping the finished models.
Checks Across the Finished Model
Quality checks compare the finished model with the approved sample and the agreed project requirements.
Production and inspection illustration based on factory reference images; not a photographic record of this project.
Component Fit
Check visible damage, deformation and fit around the cab, cargo bed and crane connections.
Finish and Graphics
Compare colour and graphic placement with the approved sample. Check that glazing is clean and clear.
Function and Assembly
Check the agreed moving parts, their movement and fit, as well as missing components and visible adhesive residue.
Packaging Protection
Check that the model is secured, projecting parts are protected and packaging follows the agreed requirements.
Ways to Present Equipment in Scale
A physical model can make equipment easier to introduce in settings where a full-size vehicle is impractical.
Equipment Showrooms
Custom scale models for equipment showrooms give visitors a compact view of a vehicle’s configuration alongside other products.
Dealer Presentations
Dealers can use a tabletop model to introduce the relationship between the truck body and crane assembly during discussions.
Trade Show Displays
A truck crane model with a telescopic boom can help visitors explore the equipment at a stand without needing the full-size vehicle.
