Project Overview

A Large-Format Truck Replica Built for Brand Display

The project translates the distinctive Deepway vehicle design into a refined commercial truck scale model with recognizable proportions, functional elements and a clean metallic finish.

The main development challenge was not simply reducing the vehicle to 1:36 scale. The cab profile, long cargo body, wheel placement, panel divisions and brand graphics all needed to remain visually balanced across a model measuring nearly 50 cm in length. These proportions give the finished Detachable Cargo Box Truck Model a strong presence without losing the character of the original vehicle.

Functional details add value beyond static display. Both cab doors open to approximately 75 degrees, the front-wheel steering is linked to the steering wheel, the road wheels rotate, the fifth wheel can move and hold its position, and the rear trailer doors open. These features make the model more useful for product demonstrations, dealer presentations and interactive corporate displays.

As a custom commercial truck scale model, the project also demonstrates the production requirements behind branded replicas: controlled panel gaps, repeatable moving functions, clean pad-printed graphics, consistent surface finishing and stable mass-production assembly. It is suitable for OEM promotion, trade shows, corporate showrooms, museum-style displays and customer gift programs.

01

Opening Cab Doors

Both cab doors open to approximately 75 degrees, providing a clear view of the steps and interior.

02

Linked Front-Wheel Steering

The front wheels turn left and right together with the steering wheel for a more realistic demonstration.

03

Free-Rolling Wheels

The road wheels rotate smoothly, allowing the model to be repositioned naturally during display or presentation.

04

Movable Fifth Wheel

The fifth wheel can move and hold its position, reproducing an important tractor-unit connection detail.

05

Opening Trailer Rear Doors

The rear cargo doors open to reveal the trailer entrance and add practical display interaction.

Development Approach

Engineering and Manufacturing Highlights

The finished model depends on coordinated work across digital engineering, material selection, tooling, surface finishing, assembly and staged quality control.

Printed Graphics and Surface Finish

Brand marks, reflective strips and small graphics are positioned cleanly across the metallic body surfaces.

Wheel, Tyre and Chassis Details

Tyre tread, wheel rims, mudguards and visible chassis components give the lower structure convincing depth.

Cab, Glazing and Door Fit

Clear glazing, defined panel gaps, interior parts and controlled door movement support a refined overall appearance.

Display Presence

Size Comparison

At approximately 50 × 8 × 11 cm and a net weight of 0.95 kg, the model has enough physical presence to attract attention in dealer showrooms, exhibitions and corporate display areas while remaining practical to handle and present.

From Data to Delivery

OEM Development Process

A structured development process helps convert original vehicle data into a repeatable custom diecast model suitable for controlled production.

Stage 01 01

3D Data and Prototype

The customer’s original vehicle or equipment 3D data is scaled and adjusted into model-production data. A physical prototype is then produced for confirmation of proportions, exterior details, functions and overall presentation.

Stage 02 02

Tooling and Metal Sample

Production tooling is manufactured using CNC machining, precision engraving and related mold-making equipment. Metal samples are assembled and reviewed to verify a result close to final mass-production quality.

Stage 03 03

Production, QC and Delivery

The approved model moves through die-casting, injection molding, painting, pad printing, assembly, function testing, quality inspection, packaging and final shipment according to the confirmed project standard.

Production Readiness

Mass Production Capability

Custom tooling and approved master samples allow the Deepway scale model to move from development into organized batch assembly with consistent visual and functional standards.

Quality Control Is Built into Each Production Stage

Consistent mass production requires more than a final inspection. Components, painted surfaces, printed graphics, moving parts, assembly fit and packaging condition are checked throughout the workflow so that each model remains aligned with the approved reference sample.

CONTROL 01

Component Inspection

Die-cast and molded parts are checked for visible defects, incomplete filling, flash, scratches and deformation before finishing.

CONTROL 02

Paint and Printing Control

Colour, gloss, dust, surface marks, logo clarity and graphic position are compared with the approved production standard.

CONTROL 03

Functional and Appearance Testing

Doors, steering, wheels, fifth-wheel movement and trailer rear doors are manually checked together with panel alignment.

CONTROL 04

Final Packaging

Finished models are cleaned, secured and inspected before packaging to reduce movement and surface damage during transportation.

Commercial Value

Business Applications

A branded truck replica can make a complex commercial vehicle easier to present, remember and discuss across sales, marketing, exhibition and customer-engagement activities.

01

Dealer Showrooms

A compact physical display helps sales teams explain vehicle design and brand identity when a full-size truck is not available indoors.

02

Trade Shows and Product Launches

The large-format model creates a clear tabletop focal point for customer conversations, media presentations and launch events.

03

OEM Promotion

A custom promotional truck model can support distributor meetings, strategic partnerships and branded marketing campaigns.

04

Corporate Gifts

Premium packaging can turn the model into a meaningful gift for customers, dealers, employees or project partners.

05

Corporate and Museum Displays

The model can document an important vehicle program within a company showroom, visitor centre or transport collection.

06

Collector and Licensing Programs

With approved branding and packaging, the model can support limited editions, licensed merchandise or specialist collector programs.

Project Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What information is needed to develop a custom truck scale model?

The most useful starting materials are original 3D or CAD data, overall vehicle dimensions, clear exterior and interior reference photos, colour and logo files, required functions, packaging expectations and estimated order quantity. Complete project data helps the truck scale model manufacturer evaluate tooling, structure and quotation more accurately.

Can the model include opening and moving functions?

Yes. Functions can be evaluated according to the model scale, vehicle structure, durability requirements and target budget. This project includes opening cab doors, linked steering, rotating wheels, a movable fifth wheel and opening trailer rear doors.

Can logos, colours and packaging be customized?

Yes. Body colours, printed graphics, licensed brand marks, model plaques and packaging can be developed around the approved visual standard. Standard protective packaging or premium presentation solutions can be discussed according to the intended market and application.

Can other commercial vehicle models be developed using the same process?

Yes. The same OEM development workflow can be applied to electric trucks, tractors, box trucks, buses, construction equipment and other industrial vehicles. Each project is reviewed independently because structure, scale, material selection and functional requirements affect tooling and production planning.
